The number of Twitter applications available has grown very fast over the last few weeks. The lovely people at Twitdom have created an application database that keeps track of all the Twitter applications available. Users of apps are able to rate them and provide context for how you can use them as well.
I managed to pick up Twippera – an Opera widget Twitter client. This makes keeping up to date really easy as the widget runs along-side my browsing and mail applications without requiring additional apps to be installed.
It is nice and light-weight and seems to do the job well. The only small problem with it is that it does not automatically convert long URLs – hopefully this feature will be added in the near future.
